Building architecture section with light well for green wall

Specifically

Due to the hillside location, the two lower residential floors are underground on the slope side. In order to increase the quality of the building and living, the building was built offset from the slope so that a light space is created between the building and the slope. This space protects the building from moisture and at the same time brings more light into the two floors below ground on the slope side. Vertical greenery with over 5000 plants adorns the light space and creates a very pleasant and healthy living environment. Noise and odors from the adjacent kitchen and bathroom windows are reduced and more privacy is created. This plant wall is visible from each slope-side window, as well as from the stairwell and glazed transition.

Special:

  • With 100m2 the largest plant wall in Switzerland
  • Only one meter width, also special for maintenance
  • Neither interior nor exterior, something in between
  • Light situation, much less light at the bottom than at the top. The whole wall is illuminated with artificial light during the day. In the evening with ambient light for a beautiful mood
  • Little air movement, ventilation had to be installed
